October! Where have you been all these months. It feels like it's been forever. Since a 1/3 of the year has flown by with no blogging, I'm going to, once again, let the pictures do most of the talking.
The month started out with a fun run with Ira's kindergarten class.
According to Anthony, he ran really well, and has apparently inherited my rosy cheeks. The cute kid on the right is Ira's new best friend Vicenzo.
Snuggling up at home for General Conference, which was uplifting as usual...
except when the boys took fighting breaks.
At the risk of building a reputation for my boys as being aggressive and territorial, I thought these were pretty funny pics of them fighting over Esther.
We've been learning new things, like:
U is for Umbrella. Ira's been loving school.
Eliot learned how pumpkins grow. Here he is at the pumpkin patch and his first field trip.
Esther learned how to use her hands to pick things up!
and has refined her smiling skills.
Ira enjoyed his school run so much at the beginning of the month, we decided to sign up for a fundraiser 5k. Which was enjoyable...
..and maybe a little torturous for at least one of our children.
Pumpkin carving!
Trying to imitate our pumpkins
Ira added "lips," which unintentionally gave his pumpkin a Heath Ledger Joker level of creepiness.
Ninjas, Burritto, Zebra, and Pirate/Pirates fan?
Salvation Army and I made the boys' Ninjago costumes.
And Esther was a Burrito.
And we wrapped up the month replacing our weather damaged tree with a Cleveland Flowering Pear tree with the help of our friend Bill.
Farewell old tree.
